The Mission Marketplace is committed to raise awareness about economic and social justice. An integral part of our mission is education.
International Book Club: The Mission Marketplace and McKune Memorial Library are conducting a book club, with reading selections reflecting empowerment, multiculturalism and books having a global impact.
We meet the first Thursday of every month, 7pm at the McKune Library on Main St. Schedule:- Nov. 6: The Lone Ranger and Tonto Fistfight in Heaven, by Sherman Alexie
- Dec. 4: Holy Cow: An Indian Adventure, by Sarah MacDonald

Based in Chelsea, Michigan, the Adult Learners Institute (ALI) provides a diverse selection of quality community-based learning experiences and camaraderie for adults in western Washtenaw County. ALI is a Lifelong Learning Institute (LLI) affiliated with the Elderhostel Institute Network (EIN), a group of 320 similar organizations. They conduct their programs in cooperation with Washtenaw Community College.
